Hello all! Despite everything else going on…I think I officially have wedding brain. I cannot seem to concentrate on anything else. I browse teal wedding items for hours. I stop mid-homework to check out Amazon for something I totally forgot about that I MUST HAVE. It feels crazy.
Take now for instance. I blocked off this time to do some work for the NE STEM 4U organization and somehow I typed in our wedding blog address and I’m here checking RSVP’s and thinking of all the posts I was going to share before the big day.
Engagement Pictures
One thing I felt like we should share was our engagement pictures. The ones we took 2 years after we got engaged–ha! We figured we might as well do them since we were able to get them for free with our wedding package. 🙂
I also want to give a shout out to our photographer, Ashley. Dave and I are both a little camera shy, but she really helped us get comfortable and we got some great photos (out of the hundreds she took) that day.
We went from this awkwardness…
to this…
with lots of fun photos in between.
Also photos of our cats Zoey and Dobby that are pretty accurate to their personalities.
Here’s a link to more of our photos if you feel like getting sick to your stomach at how cute we are. 😉
I’m happy we decided to take engagement photos and I can’t wait to see how Ashley captures our special day!
Speaking of which…29 days!!
Wedding Updates:
-We sent out invites! If you got a Save the Date, you should have also received an invite. If not, you can send one of us a message and/or just RSVP online using the password on your save the date. I am a doof and decided I wanted the return addresses on the back and apparently that messed some things up.
-Updates have been made on the ceremony location. They are on the invite as well, but want to make sure everyone pays attention. 🙂
-I have also been on Amazon and Etsy non-stop the past two weeks ordering alltheweddingthings. Ask Dave. Every night we get home there’s a new package. The cats are loving it–so many boxes for them to sniff and climb inside!
-Among the items ordered, I put in an order for flowers from Etsy. I had no idea I cared about flowers and wanted something easy and then fell in love with these teal beauties. Lily of Angeles has been very accommodating and I can’t wait to see how these wedding flowers look in person!
Alright. Back to work!
I will hopefully be back sometime soon with both of our versions of how we met each other. I’m very curious to see how Dave tells the stories, although I know he does tell people that he, “picked up the waitress at Chilis.” *eyeroll*
So tell us…
Are you comfortable in front of a camera? Have you ever taken engagement photos?
