Welp, I started this post a month ago, but it’s never too late to finish it!
I swore that I already wrote a recap of the bridal shower, but alas it was on my other blog. I thought I may as well combine it with a bachelorette party recap. π
The Bridal Shower
I’m so grateful for everyone who came out to the wedding shower. I have a hard time being the center of attention (good thing I have Dave around–ha!), but thankfully I had close friends and family there to make me feel a little better.
Although opening presents in front of everyone will always be a weird thing to me.
Ella helped me out though. She also agreed to be our flower girl!
The mimosa bar helped a lot, too. π
Thanks again to everyone who came out and made the day special! Including my friend Katie who traveled from Michigan.
And thanks to Dave for helping me clean the house before everyone came over. π
The Bachelorette Party
Let me start this by saying…I’m 30. Possibly a little too old for the things normally surrounding bachelorette parties. I also picked the world’s worst weekend because barely anyone could make it (sorry friends!!)
I don’t think I had the stereotypical bachelorette party celebration, but I’m fine with that. I prefer small and chill anyways. π
My friend Kim was kind enough to host the start of the shindig at her house. Her house is super close to Corky Boards, a wine and paint night place. She got some awesome decorations and even some fancy “tatoos” to wear.
She also made me taco pizza. It tasted even better reheated at the end of the night. π
After some embarrassing presents (ha!), I had a ton of fun at Corky Boards.Β They have so many options, but I decided on a standard welcome board to show the start of our DeWitt Knapp home.
We went to a couple of places after that, played a game Alestin made which definitely helped me know my friends a little better (lol), but I’m old and tired and normally get up at 5am. I think we called it a night at midnight. π
I’m so grateful for everyone who helped me celebrate these events! I’m also so grateful they are over–ha! Now I can focus on the main event…
So tell me…
What did you do for your bachelorette party? How do you feel opening gifts in front of people?
